All of my boxes are turned and finished to a high degree inside and out, top and bottom. Most of my boxes are turned from a single piece of wood to ensure a continuous grain match from top to bottom. The lids of most boxes have a suction fit that ensure the lid stays put but can be easily removed when desired and all of them are turned so that the boxes are light and delicate feeling yet strong enough to withstand the rigours of daily use. Boxes bottoms are engraved with year and species and finished boxes are waxed and buffed to a high shine that can be easily refresh if need by buffing with a soft cloth.
