This classic shaped box is turned from a nice piece of chechen wood (Metopium brownei) which is also know as Caribbean Rosewood. This box features a delicate bead where the lid meets the base. This particular piece of chechen has considerable chatoyannce and interesting colouration. Texturing has been applied to both the bottom of the box and in the inside of the lid to provide a little surprise when the box is handled or opened. Finished with an oil and shellac friction polish and buffed to a semi-gloss sheen, this box feels as good as it looks. This box is the perfect place to keep your most precious earrings, cuff links or other keepsakes.
