The base of this elegant and unique box is turned from a richly colour piece of black walnut (Juglans nigra). The base was turned from a triangular shaped block of wood, producing three delicate legs that gracefully support the main body of the box. The interior of the box and the underside are both decorated with a delicate texture pattern that provide a little extra surprize when the box is opened or picked up. The lid of the box has been turned from a piece of Hard Maple Burl (Acer saccharum) and features considerable figure and a bark inclusion. An ebony (Diospyros crassiflora) handle tops off the lid. The perfect place to keep you most precious heirlooms, or as a conversation starter in your office.
