All of our platters are meant to be used. Most of my platters are roughed out of green wood, allowed to dry (and warp) and then turned to finished dimension and shape. All of the platters are finished with food-safe finishes and should be maintained by simply wiping clean with a mild soap and immediately dried. The original sheen can be restored by duffing with soft, dry cloth.
