Walnut ringbox with offset cedar burl inlay
Description:
This delicate ring box made from black walnut features an offset inlay made from yellow cedar burl. The inlay is wrapped in black veneer and framed by a ring of texturing. There is more texturing on the inside of the lid, the inside of the bottom, and the bottom of the box to provide a little additional interest when the box is handled and opened. The inlay on this box was done as part of a demonstration on boxes with decorative inlays given to the Woodturner's Guild of Ontario earlier this fall.
