This box is turned from a nicely coloured piece of walnut (Juglans nigra) and features a yellow cedar burl inlay in the lid that is offset from the center line of the box. The inlay is framed with a ring of texturing and a fine grove. Texturing on the bottom and inside of the box provide a little additional surprise when the box is handled or opened. The finish is a Danish Oil that has been buffed to a pleasant sheen and will provide years of service and protection while still feeling like wood.
