This round bottomed box is turned out of black cherry and features a yellow cedar burl inlay in the lid. The inlay is framed by a delicate bead and a ring of texturing. The inlay was actual done as part of a live demonstration at the Grey Bruce Wood Turners Guild earlier in the year. There is additional texturing on the bottom of the box, the bottom of the lid, and inside the base to provide a little extra interest when the box is opened and handled. This box is finished with an oil-varnish blend and buffed to a high sheen.
