This classic shaped box was turned from Goncalo alves (Astronium spp), which is also known as tigerwood or jobillo. The form itself, is a classic, bell shaped box that features a delicate beads around the seam between the lid and base, and a crisp bevelled edge around the medallion that adorns the top of the lid. Texture on the bottom of the box and the underside of the lid provide additional interest when the box is handled or opened. Finished with a shellac based friction polish and buffed to a high-gloss sheen, this box is a pleasure to handle and it is the perfect place to keep those special ear rings, cuff links or other precious keepsakes.
