This classic shaped box is turned from a nice piece of black walnut (Juglans nigra) and features a delicate bead where the lid meets the base and a subtle ogee curve in the lid. This particular piece of walnut has a small patch of lighter sapwood on one side that adds considerable interest and character to an already beautiful piece of wood. Texturing has been applied to both the bottom of the box and in the inside of the lid to provide a little surprise when the box is handled or opened.
