Black Cherry with Yellow Cedar Inset

Description:

The cherry body of the box has been finished with Danish oil and buffed to a pleasant satin sheen that provides protection while still giving unmistakable feel of wood. The cherry in this box has already started to develop the deep rich patina that cherry so famous for and will only get better with time and features a small patch of lighter sapwood that provides even more character and interest. In contrast, the top of the lid has been finished with several coats of lacquer and buffed to a high gloss to emphasize the figure and depth of the burl. Weighing just 18 grams, this delicate box is the perfect place to keep your most precious earrings, cuff links, or other keepsakes.
