This set of round-bottomed bowls was turned from a nicely spalted block of Hard Maple (Acer saccharum). While the round bottom form is shared among them all, differences in the spalting and figure make each of them unique. Additionally, these bowls were turned to their finished form from green wood and have subsequently warped as the wood dried and now have a oval shape that provides a subtle, yet unmistakable tactile feel. Finished with a food safe0 mixture of linseed oil and bees wax, these bowls are ready to go to work in your kitchen for years to come and will only get better with age.
