Redheart Ringbox with Yellow Cedar Burl Inaly
Description:
This delicate ring box made from Redheart (a.k.a. Chakte kok) features an offset inlay made from yellow cedar burl. The inlay is wrapped in black veneer and framed by a ring of texturing. There is more texturing on the inside of the lid, the inside of the bottom, and the bottom of the box to provide a little additional interest when the box is handled and opened. The inlay on this box was done as part of a demonstration on boxes with decorative inlays given to the Simcoe Woodturner's Guild earlier this summer.
