The base of this box is made from quina (Myroxylon peruiferum) and features a lid made from big leaf maple with an ebonized maple handle. Quinna is a beautiful dark red with subtle strips that almost shimmer in the light. The burl lid, is light and delicate, fits snugly into the base, and makes a subtle 'pop' when removed. The lid is topped with an elegant, ebonized maple handle that is decorated on the inside with a simple, turned disk that has been decorated with a couple of fine grooves. Finished with Tung oil to maximize the depth and beauty of the wood, and buffed to a pleasant shine, this box is the perfect place to keep your most precious earrings, cuff links or other keepsakes.
