Oriental Quinna Box

Description:

This little box is turned from a nicely figured piece of quina (Myroxylon peruiferum) which is sometime also known as Argentine sandalwood and features considerable depth and shimmer. The box was turned in a way that ensures continuous grain from the body through the lid. The lid has a loose fit inside the body- you can easily remove the lid without lifting or upsetting the base. Concentric rings on both the underside of the lid and the underside of the base provide a little surprise when the box is opened or handled. Finished with lacquer and polished to a pleasant shine, this box is as nice to hold as it is to look at. The perfect place for your most precious keepsakes or jewelry. An heirloom quality box that will be in your family for generations.
