This is a diminutive ring box turned from a nicely figured piece of mablewood (Zygia racemosa) and features a textured inlay in the lid made from East Indian Rosewood(Dalbergia latifolia). the Rosewood inlay has been textured with radiating lines of texture framed by a delicate bead. Addition texture on the bottom of the base and the inside of the lid serve as a little surprize when the box is opened or handled. A small kerf decorates the seam between the lid and base, but doesn't detract from the almost perfect grain alignment. The fit of the lid is a suction fit - meaning that it will stay together when the boxed is picked up by the lid, but is easy to remove with a second hand. This is a beautiful little box for your most precious jewellery or keepsakes that should be in your family for generations.
