This bowl was turned from hard maple (Acer saccharum) and is the perfect size for a personal popcorn bowl. The form was turned to its finished shape while the wood was still wet and has dried to a distinct oval shape. The wood itself has some character, including some spalting, but the real charm is from the round, footless form that just feels so good to hold. Finished with a non-toxic linseed oil surface, this piece is ready to go to work in your kitchen and will only get better with age.
