Description

Like the wood from many orchard trees, plum is exceptionally beautiful but not available commercially or in large sizes. The wood itself is moderately hard and fine grained. While difficult to dry without cracking, the seasoned wood is easy to work and turn and finishes beautifully. Superficially, plum resembles cherry, but typically has more character with hints of orange and purple throughout.
