Red-Black Manitoba Maple Hollow Form
Description:
This elegant hollow form was turned from a nicely figured piece of Manitoba Maple (Acer negunda) and subsequently coloured with black and red aniline dye before being top coated with several layers of instrument finish. The form is thinned walled and remarkably light. The lid is made from hard maple (Acer saccharum) which has been ebonized and attaches to the hollow form with threads. This is a beautiful, elegant piece that would look good and add an element of sophistication to virtually any living room or office.
