This delicate bowl is actually turned from several laminations cut from a single board and re-assembled into it's final shape. The process produces remarkably consistent grain patterns that repeat in each laminated layer. Normally, bowls constructed in this manner have straight sides, but this little bowl has a distinct parabolic curve that give it a subtle elegance. The bottom of the bowl has been decorated with a textured spiral and several concentric rings as proof that it was turned with as much care and attention as the rest of the bowl. Finished with several coats of danish oil and polished to a pleasant silky sheen, this hollow form is as nice to hold as it is to look at. An heirloom quality item that will be in your family for generations.
