This bowl was turned from hard maple (Acer saccharum) and is the perfect size for a personal popcorn bowl. The form was turned to its finished shape while the wood was still and has dried to a distinct oval shape. The outside surface of the bowl has been almost completely textured with a dimpled pattern and then coated with cranberry milk paint. The combination of the texture and painted surface produce a wonderfully tactile sensation. Finished with a non-toxic linseed oil surface, this piece is ready to go to work in your kitchen and will only get better with age.
