This wide rimmed bowl was turned from a highly figured piece of Manitoba Maple (Acer negunda) and coloured with aniline dyes. The form itself features a graceful ogee curve on the underside, while the broad rim was turned with a subtle curved surface to showcase the curl in the wood. The rim was coloured with aniline dyes that transition from yellow to green to deep aqua-blue. Between the shifts in the colours and the depth of the curly figure, this bowl is truly mesmerizing. The rim has been finished with a durable, high-gloss instrument finish and buffed to a glass like surface. This piece is a real eye catcher and will look great as a centre piece on your dinning room table or on a shelf in your living room.
