This pair of pencil pots were turned from black cherry (Prunus seritonia). Both feature a bead around the rim and gracefully curved sides. One of them features a matching bead at the base, while the other has a suble chamfer that provides just a little visual lift off the surface it is siting on. Both feature texturing and several concentric rings that serve as proof that the bottoms were turned with as much are and attention to detail as the rest of piece. Finished with danish oil and beeswax, these pieces will only get better with time.
