This simple bowl is turned from a piece of black cherry that is full of rustic character. The wood features a couple of distinct sapwood patches and several pitch pockets/streaks that make this bowl a one of a kind. The simple, unadorned form really lets the wood speak for itself, is perfect for snacks or popcorn. This particular bowl has already started to develop the rich, deep patina that Cherry is so well known for. Finished with a food safe, linseed oil the appearance and feel of this bowl will only get better with time.
