This little hollow form is turned from a piece of spalted soft maple. It features an in turned rim and a wall thickness that averages between 2 and 3 mm over most of its length. As such, tt is much lighter than it looks. The interior surfaces were not sanded. The bottom is decorated with texturing to provide a little surprise when the form is picked up and turned over. Finished with Tung oil to emphasize the character of the wood and buffed to a pleasant sheen, this form feels as good as it looks.
